Stamp Collecting Services — important information for collectors & dealers
About This Disclaimer
This disclaimer applies to everyone who uses our services — whether you are a stamp dealer managing an online store or inventory, or a stamp collector organizing a personal collection. Please read this carefully so you have a clear and honest picture of what our services include and where our responsibilities end.
We are a professional support team — not certified appraisers, auction houses, or official philatelic authorities. Everything we do is intended to help you save time, stay organized, and present your stamps confidently.
Stamp Identification & Grading
We use the internationally recognized Scott Catalogue and other trusted philatelic references to identify stamps. However, please keep the following in mind:
- Varieties & Watermarks — When a stamp has two or more known varieties (such as different watermarks, colors, paper types, or perforations), we will list all known possibilities. Determining which specific variety you own is your responsibility — only physical examination, watermark fluid, or expert testing can confirm this with certainty.
- Condition Grades — Any grading descriptions (such as Fine, Very Fine, or Good) are our team's honest visual estimates based on the scan provided. These are intended for cataloging and listing purposes only. They are not professional certifications. Official grading should be done by an accredited philatelic expertizing service.
- Scott Catalogue Reference — Scott numbers and catalogue values are referenced for identification and convenience only. Scott is a registered trademark of Amos Media Company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting as representatives of Amos Media Company or the Scott Catalogue in any way.
- Identification Accuracy — We apply our best knowledge and research skills to every stamp. However, rare varieties, forgeries, reprints, or unusual items may require expert examination that goes beyond what a scan can reveal. If a stamp has significant financial or historical value, we recommend independent expert verification.
Image Processing
- Based on scans provided — All image work is performed on the digital scans you send us. The quality of our output depends on the quality of your original scan. We work with what we receive and will advise you if a scan is too low in resolution to produce a good result.
- No physical handling — We do not touch, move, or handle any physical stamps. Your original stamps remain entirely in your possession throughout the process. All work is digital.
- Color representation — Digital processing may affect how colors appear on screen versus how they look in person. We do not guarantee that processed images will perfectly reproduce the actual color of a stamp when printed or viewed on different devices.
Market Values & Pricing
We do not provide stamp valuations, appraisals, or price estimates as part of our services. Catalogue values listed in the Scott Catalogue or other references are not the same as market value, sale price, or insurance value.
Stamp values can vary significantly depending on condition, demand, the selling platform, and current market trends. If you need a formal valuation — for insurance, estate, or sale purposes — please consult a qualified philatelic appraiser or auction house.
Responsibilities by Audience
🏪 For Dealers
- Listing accuracy — We prepare and upload listings based on your instructions. You are responsible for reviewing all published listings before they go live.
- Platform policies — Compliance with eBay, website terms of service, and other platform rules remains your responsibility as the account owner.
- Account access — Credentials you provide are used solely for agreed listing work. You are responsible for revoking access when the project is complete.
📖 For Collectors
- Your collection, your decisions — Our work helps you organize and document. All final decisions about how your collection is managed remain entirely yours.
- Database & records — We recommend you review and keep backups of all files we deliver. We are not responsible for data loss after delivery.
- Expert advice — If a stamp may be particularly rare or valuable, we encourage you to seek an opinion from a reputable philatelic society or expertizing service.
